Cora - Friday, December 18, 2015
All Cora wanted was to go home and sleep. Other Mountaindale University students were going out to celebrate the end of finals week, but she had not been invited anywhere, which was fine.
The only thing energizing her was the tight coil of nerves floating to her throat as she stepped across the sprawling student union’s coffee shop toward the table at the wall of windows where her showstopping teaching assistant lounged.
Walsh’s long denim legs stretched past the table into the walkway. His dark-brown hair dangled close to his eyes as if it were just as smitten with them as most of the women in Cora’s Philosophy class.
